Job Description
Develops logistics strategies and recommends changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule. Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors. Enhances workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports. Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Typically requires BA and 0-2 years. Responsibilities Includes accountability for 100% accuracy rating for all NIWC and AKIMA material, parts, equipment and tools. Maintain a monthly and spot INV schedule. Update INV log (electronic copy) with changes to include NSN, Part Number, Cage Code, Nomenclature and price adjustments to existing and newly received material. Provide a monthly update report to the company. Responsible for warehouse material location management. Monitor and provide INV information for Gov't material that is stowed at X-134 (Norfolk Naval Base). Ship/Receive material to various onsite locations for Teams that are deployed, to our warehouse and other locations as applicable. Submit travel requests for personnel for CONUS and OCONUS travel. Monitor and submit travel updates as applicable on required sites. Maintain historical travel electronic documents. Qualifications BA. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. Ability to use Microsoft Suite.
