The Material Coordinator expedites the flow of materials, components and WIP assemblies between departments using material handling equipment and IQMS requirement reports. The Material Coordinator accurately scans and stages material/components in assigned production locations as well as maintains accurate Staging location inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials and components required, availability of stock, and order priority Computes amount of material/components required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes Notifies warehouse team daily via email of items needed Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance Accurately locates, picks and weighs color based on requirements schedule for production. Adjusts inventory and retags with accurate labels as required Responsible for accurately scanning all items into and out of staging and transit-trailer locations Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections of equipment prior to operating forklift Operate equipment within OSHA guidelines Reports to Internal Supply Chain Supervisor and takes direction from Material Coordinator II Complete any tasks or other duties as assigned by the Internal Supply Chain Supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of forklift experience preferred Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Basic math and recording skills Great communication and interpersonal abilities Be able to consistently lift 50lbs Ability to work with minimal supervision Successfully completes OSHA forklift certification training and maintain such certification
