A Mining Manager is responsible for planning future mine production, overseeing the development and tunneling of the mine, checking the quality of stone, rock and minerals, and inspecting the mine for danger. Carry out generic management duties, such as hiring staff, organizing staff training, overseeing financial administration, and liaising and negotiating with suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.

Do you want real mining experience operating heavy equipment and being involved in plant operations? Pete Lien & Sons, Inc. is a regional producer of construction aggregate, ready mix concrete, lime, and industrial minerals. There is currently one opening for a motivated Summer Intern to support our operations in LaPorte, CO. The position works 10 hour shifts with a Monday - Thursday day shift schedule. Applicants should be enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a focus on construction, engineering, finance, or business. First year students are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include supporting mining and processing plant operations. Specific daily tasks will cover a wide range depending on the experience and background of the successful candidate.
