Site Superintendent, Excavation, Shoring Millis, MA ApplyWHAT YOU\'LL DO
- Lay out and run grades: set and check grade with laser and GPS, read civil and structural plans
- Run excavation and dig-outs: cut to subgrade, manage unsuitable soils, backfi ll and compaction
- Build support of excavation: soldier piles and lagging, sheet piling, soil nails, trench protection
- Run drilled caisson and pier work: locations and elevations, cages, anchor-bolt templates, concrete pours,spoils
- Plan the work, order materials ahead, run a small crew and equipment
- Keep excavations safe (competent person), coordinate with Dig Safe, GCs, inspectors and engineers; keepdaily reports
WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive hands-on sitework experience (typically 20+ years) or equivalent
- Strong with grades, layout and excavation; shoring / earth-support experience a big plus
- Drilling or deep-foundation experience a plus, not required
- Massachusetts hoisting license, 2A (1B/1C a plus)
- OSHA 30 and excavation competent-person training (or willing to get them)
