Ishpeming, MI Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager Operations at our Tilden Mine site. This position will provide leadership, direction, and coordination on a rotating twelve-hour schedule to safely and efficiently execute planned work to achieve departmental goals and overall business objectives for the Mine Operations Department. Summary of Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction within the mine operations department to ensure all departmental work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all company site, federal, state, and local standards. Direct, coordinate, and motivate personnel to execute established plans and achieve performance targets for the department via field and/or dispatch management. Responsible for the safe, quality execution of departmental work. Report and recommend solutions to deviations from the plan when work does not achieve planned targets. Promote and encourage teamwork. Ensure clear communication to personnel of expectations and work assignments to achieve high performance standards. Work with the mine engineering and maintenance departments to achieve desired performance results including safety, quality, production, and cost targets. Communicate with plant operations to support customer requirements. Coach personnel and conduct operator performance reviews to ensure compliance to standard work procedures,

Identify opportunities for improvement in the department. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED. 3+ years of related heavy industry experience. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a mining/mineral processing operation. High degree of computer literacy. Demonstrate data interpretation and analysis skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory experience in related production environment. Experience with Ellipse, MS Office Suite. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
