Fair Chance seeks a visionary, strategic, and collaborative Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth following a successful leadership transition. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee organizational strategy, fundraising, operations, external relations, and organizational culture while serving as Fair Chance's chief spokesperson and champion. Working closely with the Board and leadership team, the Executive Director will supervise the Deputy Executive Director, Finance & Operations Manager, and Development team while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Vision, Strategy, and Organizational Leadership Lead implementation of Fair Chance's strategic vision and organizational priorities. Partner with the Board to advance mission, strategy, and organizational performance. Foster an inclusive, equitable, and high-performing organizational culture. Fundraising and External Relations Lead fundraising strategy and strengthen relationships with donors and foundations. Serve as Fair Chance's chief ambassador with nonprofit, philanthropic, civic, and policy leaders. Expand organizational visibility and thought leadership across the sector. Operations, Finance, and Talent Ensure sound financial stewardship, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational planning. Strengthen systems, infrastructure, and operational effectiveness. Recruit, develop, and support a talented and mission-driven staff. Ten or more years of progressive nonprofit or mission-driven leadership. Significant fundraising success with major donors, foundations, corporations, and government. Outstanding communication and executive presence. Success leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong financial management and operational leadership. Experience working effectively with boards of directors. Ability to build cross-sector partnerships and collaborative initiatives. Familiarity with the Greater Washington nonprofit community is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

$165,000, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive benefits package including health insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, and additional employee benefits.
