Job Description

Overview RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN. RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area. Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday The Foundation Director provides strategic and operational leadership for RiverView Health Foundation. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a diversified fundraising strategy, cultivating and stewarding donor relationships, supporting Foundation Board governance, and aligning philanthropic resources with RiverView Health's mission and priority needs. The Director reports administratively to the RiverView Health CEO and is accountable to the Foundation Board for Foundation priorities, performance, and donor stewardship. The Director serves as a visible ambassador for the Foundation, working closely with the CEO, leadership team, Foundation Board, donors, community partners, Marketing and Community Relations, and Finance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing strategic leadership for RiverView Health Foundation by developing and implementing fundraising strategies that strengthen philanthropic support for RiverView Health's mission, programs, services, and priority needs.
Other responsibilities include:
Annual fundraising planning, donor identification and cultivation, major gifts, planned giving, memorial and tribute giving, grants, campaign support, donor recognition, and ongoing stewardship. The Director maintains a donor pipeline and uses donor data to support effective engagement, solicitation, and retention strategies. Collaborating with RiverView Health leaders to identify priority needs, translate those needs into compelling donor opportunities, and coordinate the review and presentation of grant or funding requests for Foundation Board consideration. The Foundation Board retains authority to approve and disburse Foundation funds. Supporting our sound Foundation operations, including board and committee meeting preparation, policy and procedure recommendations, donor database management, timely gift processing and acknowledgements, donor confidentiality, budget development, financial reporting, reconciliation support, and coordination with Finance to ensure appropriate tracking and use of restricted and unrestricted funds. Engaging with civic, business, healthcare, and community organizations throughout RiverView Health's service area, including occasional events outside normal business hours. Professionalism, integrity, responsiveness, and trustworthiness are essential in all aspects of this position. May be assigned other administrative or management responsibilities by the CEO of RiverView Health or by the President of the Foundation. Qualifications Education / Certification(s) / License(s):
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, finance, public relations, marketing, communications, healthcare administration, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive fundraising/development experience
Preferred:
MBA 5 + years of progressive fundraising/development experience and a clear record of success 5+ years working in a healthcare setting 1+ years of supervisory experience CFRE certification or willingness to pursue fundraising-related professional development Competencies /
