Club Administrator Be the engine behind one of America's largest, oldest, and most active Rotary Clubs. Why this role matters Rotary Club 14 has been a fixture of civic life in Lincoln for more than a century. Our members lead businesses, nonprofits, schools, and government across the city, and our weekly meetings, signature events, and service projects only run as well as the person quietly making them happen behind the scenes. That person is the Club Administrator. About the Club Rotary Club 14 of Lincoln is one of the largest and longest-standing Rotary Clubs in the United States. We're a membership service organization built on community service, fellowship, and leadership development. We meet every Tuesday at noon, run a packed annual calendar, and punch well above our weight in this town. We're looking for an experienced, organized, and personable Club Administrator to keep all of it humming. The opportunity This is an independent contractor engagement: flexibility built in, real responsibility on day one. You'll be the operational backbone of the Club, providing administrative leadership across membership, finance, communications, technology, and events. The role is non-exclusive, so you can serve other clients as long as Club 14 commitments are met. Translation:
you run your own shop, on your own schedule, with our full support. What you'll own Run day-to-day Club operations and serve as the right hand to the President and Board. Own the membership database in ClubRunner and keep our records with Rotary International airtight. Drive the annual membership renewal process and welcome every new member with a polished first impression. Write, design, and email The Propeller, our weekly newsletter and the voice of the Club. Partner with our bookkeeper and Treasurer to keep financials accurate, timely, and audit-ready. Make weekly Tuesday meetings and monthly Board meetings run on rails. Bring marquee events like Nebraskan of the Year to life. Additional special events available for extra hours by mutual agreement. Keep our tech stack (website, ClubRunner, payments) modern and working. You're a fit if you... Have a track record of administrative management, ideally with a nonprofit or membership organization. Notice the details everyone else misses, and care enough to fix them. Are fluent with technology:
CRM/database platforms (ClubRunner a plus), websites, and online payments. Write and speak with clarity, warmth, and professionalism. Read financials confidently; general financial literacy. Thrive on deadlines, juggle stakeholders gracefully, and follow through every single time. Carry yourself with discretion; confidential information stays confidential. Can show up in person on Tuesdays at noon (arriving 45 minutes early) and the third Thursday each month for the Board. What you'll get Compensation:
$3,500 to $4150 per month, commensurate with experience. Expense Reimbursement:
Approved out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed with receipts. Professional Development:
Annual trip to the Large Club Conference (the 50 largest U.S. Rotary Clubs); travel and meals reimbursed. Hours:
25-30 hours per week, with some seasonal variation tied to membership renewals, signature events and Board cycles. Term:
Six-month trial period, then annual contracts upon favorable review. Classification:
