Job Description

The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for leading all fundraising, donor engagement, and philanthropic initiatives that support the mission of the senior living community. This executive-level position develops and implements comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure annual, major, planned, corporate, and foundation gifts while fostering meaningful relationships with residents, families, community partners, and philanthropic supporters. The Director of Philanthropy works closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Foundation Board (if applicable), and senior leadership to increase charitable giving that enhances resident programs, capital improvements, employee education, and community outreach initiatives. Successful directors typically combine strategic fundraising leadership with active donor relationship management, stewardship, planned giving, and collaboration across leadership teams. Heritage Pointe is committed to finding a dedicated, experienced, and credentialed Director of philantrophy upon whom our organization can depend. Company is located in Mission Viejo, CA and not currently offering a relocation allowance for this position. This position is not designated for telecommuting. This non-profit company employees approximately 100 workers, a combination of full-time and part-time. List of Key Skills, Experience, and Education ( to name a few ): 7 - 10 years of progressively responsible nonprofit fundraising experience Experience securing major gifts ($10K+) and building long-term donor relationships Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for donor events and meetings Experience drafting, implementing, monitoring, and training on new/amended Policies and Procedures, required Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

$115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
