Job Description

Position Title:
Executive Director of Development Reports to:
President & CEO Department:
Advancement Services Position Category:
Exempt, full-time, 12 months
Position Summary:
In partnership with the President & CEO, plan and administer all fundraising activities of Texas Center for Arts + Academics. As a key member of the Advancement Services team, this individual leads collaboratively by demonstrating great passion for our mission while investing in personal connections and increasing stakeholder engagement within the organization and throughout our greater community.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Be accountable to all key stakeholders, including students and families, donors, volunteers, the general public, staff and faculty, board of directors, et al.
  • Design and implement fundraising campaigns
  • Oversee and guide communications, with alignment to advancement goals
  • Budget and manage all department goals and expenses including: Government and foundation grants Corporate and business sponsorships Individual gifts Major, capital, annual, and planned gifts Special events
  • Create reports and present updates to leadership and governing bodies
  • Attend events and performances during evenings and weekends
  • Maintain constituent database
  • Others as assigned
Essential Job Requirements:
  • Prior Employment
  • a minimum 7 years of paid progressive experience in an organized development office
  • Education
  • an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; a graduate degree or professional fundraising certification (CFRE) preferred
  • Experience
  • donor-centered fundraising, managing individual giving program, donor stewardship and benefits programs, foundations and major gifts, preference given to those with arts and/or education experience
  • Required Skills
  • ability to build upon the current program, demonstrated high-level fundraising knowledge, ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, public speaking and presenting, excellent verbal and written communication, special events management, budget planning and management, grant writing, facility in digital communications and social media, databases and CRM software, MS Office
  • Physical Requirements
  • ability to carry up to 25 lbs.

Pay:
$63,525.00
  • $86,625.
00 per year
