Role Description:

The Executive Director is a full-time, hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX, responsible for leading the overall operations and strategic direction of NAMI Tarrant County. This role oversees program delivery for support groups, education, and outreach initiatives, ensuring programs align with the mission and meet community needs. Day-to-day tasks include managing staff and volunteers, developing and implementing strategic plans, and maintaining effective communication with the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will lead fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations, as well as manage budgets, reporting, and compliance with nonprofit regulations. Additional responsibilities include cultivating partnerships with community organizations, representing NAMI Tarrant County at events and meetings, and promoting awareness of mental health resources. Qualifications Minimum of three years of leadership and management experience, including team supervision, strategic planning, and program oversight. Nonprofit administration skills, such as budgeting, compliance, reporting, and Board relations. Fundraising and development skills, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and event planning. Community outreach and partnership-building skills, with the ability to represent the organization in public settings. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and stakeholder engagement. Experience or demonstrated interest in mental health advocacy, support services, or related human services fields. Ability to work hybrid in Fort Worth and travel locally for meetings and events as needed. Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic data management (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software).
