Assistant Operations Officer American Plus Bank Long Beach, CA Job Details Full-time $52,000 - $56,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Staff supervision High school diploma or GED Cross-selling Bachelor's degree Staff training Customer relationship management Legal compliance Banking Industry knowledge of retail banking Full Job Description SUMMARY Managing customer services and operations functions of the assigned branch, Assistant Operations Officer ensures operations activities run smoothly and efficiently by coordinating staff for coverage in all related areas of branch operations, reviewing and approving transactions within guidelines, reviewing daily operations reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance and staff adherence to Bank policies and procedures. DUTIES Manage the operations functions of the branch to ensure the highest level of customer service, operating efficiencies, and compliance with the Bank's operating standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure the branch effectively manages the risks associated with each customer relationship. Utilize good judgment to ensure that any potential loss situation that could adversely affect the Bank is given an adequate level of visibility with senior management as well as appropriate units within the Bank. Ensure sound operating conditions are maintained in the branch by utilizing the timely completion of monthly branch certifications and operational reviews. Assist in attaining established Bank and branch goals through cross-selling. Meet with staff on regular basis to discuss new and existing products, service productivity and client relations/satisfaction. Advise management on issues affecting customer service to ensure the timely research and resolution of problems. Identify and recommend methods to improve effectiveness, efficiency and program(s) productivity. Provide guidance and assistance to branch colleagues in resolving procedural and personnel administration problems. Provide instruction and cross training on Bank procedures and banking regulations. Ensure performance reviews/evaluations of the branch's non-officer staff are completed timely, objectively and with proper emphasis on individual development, coaching skills, customer servicing skills, and sales/referral activities. Prepare BSA related monitoring reports. Accept other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor.
