Job Description

Selby Jennings is partnering with a Middle Market Investment Banking firm, specializing in Healthcare. They are seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join their team in San Francisco. The Associate will work closely with senior bankers to advise clients across healthcare services, healthcare information technology, life sciences, and adjacent subsectors on complex strategic and financial decisions. Key Responsibilities Support end-to-end execution of M&A, equity, and debt advisory transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side mandates Develop and review detailed financial analyses, including operating models, valuation frameworks, and transaction scenarios Prepare client-facing materials such as investment memoranda, management presentations, and board-level analyses Conduct sector-specific research to evaluate business models, competitive dynamics, regulatory considerations, and growth opportunities in healthcare Coordinate internally with Analysts and senior bankers, and externally with clients, legal counsel, and other advisors to keep transactions on track Exercise sound judgment and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving environment Required Qualifications 2-5 years as an Investment Banking Associate with a strong foundation in financial analysis Demonstrated interest in healthcare, including healthcare services, healthcare IT, life sciences, or related areas Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and presentation development Clear written and verbal communication skills suited for interaction with senior executives and transaction counterparties Eligibility to obtain required securities licenses, if not already held
