Continuous Improvement Analyst

Job Description

Continuous Improvement Analyst at Grip Continuous Improvement Analyst at Grip in Miami Beach, Florida Posted in 15 days ago.
Type:
full-time
Job Description:
About Grip:
Grip is pioneering Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce for perishable products. Grip's smart logistics engine increases customer lifetime value and retention with higher quality deliveries and predictable shipping. Built with industry-leading technology, delivering superior service and national fulfillment coverage, Grip gives you an advantage. Grip's smart logistics engine can predict disruptions and proactively optimize your packaging, while Grip's fulfillment facilities give you access to a national footprint of fulfillment centers. We are a rapidly growing team backed by some of the best industry investors and advisors.
Job Description:
At Grip, we run a cold-chain fulfillment network across multiple facilities and states, and we're improving how it works while it runs. As our Continuous Improvement Analyst, you'll work directly with site leaders and frontline teams. You'll turn what works at one site into the standard for every site, set up the KPIs and dashboards that show how we're performing, test new ways of fulfilling orders, and lead our use of AI in operations. You'll do this inside a live operation, so changes have to land without slowing down shipping.
Specific responsibilities:
Design, pilot and scale improvements. Turn ideas from the floor, the data and leadership into structured projects. Pilot each one at a single site, prove the results, then roll it out across the network. Build KPI tracking and dashboards. Help define the metrics that matter, such as throughput, accuracy, on-time fulfillment, labor productivity and cost per order. Set up how they're tracked and build dashboards that site leaders and the leadership team actually use to run the business. Test new fulfillment methods. Design and run pilots on things like pick paths, pack-out methods, labor models, layouts and packaging. Measure the effect on throughput and cost, and recommend whether to scale, change or drop each one. Lead AI and automation projects. Find manual, repetitive or error-prone work that AI or automation can handle. Scope those projects, run pilots and measure the results. Then make sure each tool becomes part of the team's daily work instead of sitting unused. Solve problems at the root. When problems come up again and again, find the real cause and put fixes in place that keep them from returning. Own the improvement backlog. Keep a prioritized list of projects, track each one from pilot to rollout, and report what each delivered. Document and standardize how we work. Watch operations on the floor, write SOPs where none exist, and turn the different ways each site does things into one standard for the network. Roll out the standards, train teams on them, and keep them up to date as processes change.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, logistics, business administration, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in logistics or related fields. In-depth knowledge of distribution and shipping methods. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics effectively. Problem-solving abilities for quick, decisive action during supply chain disruptions. Excellent verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners. Ability to identify improvement opportunities creatively. Strong multitasking skills for efficiently managing multiple priorities.
Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:
Grip is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to complying with all applicable non-discrimination laws. We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment, where all employees and applicants are treated with respect and without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
