Job Description:
Fund Operations Analyst We are currently seeking candidates for an entry-level Fund Operations Analyst position at a highly successful Investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Fund Operations Analyst is a back-to-middle office operations role responsible for supporting a fixed income product. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on fund operations experience at a top-tier investment management firm with excellent training, room for growth, and strong employee retention. This is an 8-12+ month contract-to-hire position paying between $19-$20/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work-model (on-site 3 days and remote 2 days per week).
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day operations for a fixed income product line Perform daily/periodic reconciliations across cash, positions, and transactions Research and resolve discrepancies between the firm and its custodian banks Investigate and escalate breaks in a timely manner, tracking issues through to resolution Partner with custodians, trading, and portfolio management teams to ensure accurate, timely settlement of trades Assist with trade support, corporate actions processing, and NAV/pricing checks as needed Maintain and update operational procedures and documentation Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field 0-1 years of relevant experience (internship experience in financial services considered) Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables (required) Familiarity with Bloomberg a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Team-oriented with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
