As the Senior Analyst, Operations, you will focus on strategic initiatives that support the growth, efficiency, and operational excellence of our Intermodal and Drayage business. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, Pricing, Capacity, Customer Experience, Technology, and external carriers, to drive process improvements, implement new solutions, and support customer-facing projects that enhance service, productivity, and profitability. What your day-to-day will look like:
- Focus on strategic projects across Intermodal and Drayage operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer commitments.
- Create and maintain project plans, including critical paths, task dependencies, resource requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and milestone tracking.
- Partner with operational leaders and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, service enhancements, and network optimization.
- Drive the implementation of new customer onboarding initiatives, operational processes, technology enhancements, and continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze operational data, market trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service execution.
- Collaborate with rail providers, drayage carriers, terminals, and internal teams to support successful project execution and issue resolution.
- Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams and ensure stakeholders are informed of project progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Develop and deliver presentations, project updates, business cases, and customer-facing materials that communicate project objectives, solutions, and value propositions.
- Monitor project performance and measure results against key operational and financial objectives.
- Support network expansion initiatives, service offerings, process standardization efforts, and operational readiness activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members while fostering collaboration and accountability across the organization. What you'll need to excel: At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, or a related analytical field, or equivalent work or military experience.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, intermodal, drayage, or freight operations.
- Project management experience, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, and performance tracking.
- Experience analyzing operational processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. It'd be great if you also have:
- Experience supporting Intermodal, Rail, Drayage, Port, Terminal, or Trucking operations.
- Experience managing customer implementations or transportation-related projects.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), operational reporting tools, and project management software.
- Experience with intermodal rail providers, drayage carrier management, or container lifecycle management.
- Availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- The self-motivation to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
