Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives and drive operational excellence across manufacturing processes. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality systems that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will champion continuous improvement projects, foster cross-functional collaboration, and uphold the highest standards of quality in our production environment. Duties Lead the development and implementation of quality management systems to ensure consistent product quality. Manage internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely closure of findings. Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and lead resolution of customer complaints and warranty claims. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions using 8D, A3, 5 Why, Ishikawa (Fishbone), PDCA, and DMAIC. Oversee incoming inspection activities and acceptance criteria for purchased materials. Establish supplier quality requirements and drive supplier corrective actions and improvement initiatives. Monitor process controls to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with specifications. Analyze quality trends, scrap, rework, returns, and cost of poor quality to identify improvement opportunities. Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales on quality and continuous improvement projects. Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and waste-reduction initiatives. Develop and maintain quality KPIs and management reports. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality standards. Train employees on quality requirements, problem-solving tools, and process controls. Lead, coach, and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, process controls, auditing, and corrective action systems. Strong customer-service orientation and ability to manage customer quality concerns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.Preferred:
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).ISO 9001
Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification. Experience in machining, fabrication, welding, polishing, powder coat or wheel manufacturing. Bilingual English/Spanish.Benefits:
