You will lead derivive performance improvement efforts from findings and collabore with other industrial logistics personnel/teams on logistic elements barrier solutions from analysis provided. You will evalue operions, products, processes and services to effectively manage support functions of the Industrial Logistics support to the command You will collect and organize informion from a variety of sources, such as computer dabases, sales histories, subject-mter experts, and customer feedback, ghering input from stakeholders involved in all aspects of a ILS barrier problem. You will use stistical analysis, simulions, predictive modeling, or other methods to analyze informion and develop practical solutions and courses of action to resolve the problems. You will write memos, position papers, reports, and other documents explaining findings and recommendions for managers, executives, and other officials. Applicants must possess: A Bachelor's Degree in Operions Research OR At least 24 semester hours in a combinion of operions research, mhemics, probability, stistics, mhemical logic, science, or subject-mter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mhemics or stistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.Evaluion of Educion:
The primary requirement of operions research work is competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis rher than in the subject mter of the problem. Therefore, applicants should have sufficient knowledge of applied mhemics to understand and use the fundamental concepts and techniques of operions research methods of analysis. In addition, some positions may require knowledge of a specific subject area. Courses acceptable for qualifying for operions research positions may have been taken in departments other than Operions Research, e.g., Engineering (usually Industrial Engineering), Science, Economics, Mhemics, Stistics, or Management Science. The following are illustrive of acceptable courses: optimizion; mhemical modeling; queueing theory; engineering; physics (except descriptive or survey courses); econometrics; psychometrics; biometrics; experimental psychology; physical chemistry; industrial process analysis; managerial economics; computer science; measurement for management; mhemical models in social phenomena; and courses th involved applicion of operions research techniques and methodologies to problems of management, marketing, systems design, and other specialized fields; or other comparable quantitive analysis courses for which college-level mhemics or stistics is a prerequisite. Courses in theory of probability and stistics are highly desirable, but are not specified as minimum educional requirements because to do so would possibly exclude some applicants who would otherwise be well qualified.
