Shelter Operations Officer Animal Welfare - 3.6 Albuquerque, NM Job Details Full-time $93,454.40 - $98,155.20 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Parental leave Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Driver's License General management Full Job Description Position Summary Improve, develop and coordinate animal welfare policy and implementation among various City Departments, City Council, the Mayor, Bernalillo County and constituents for the City of Albuquerque resulting in the enhanced welfare of animals. Analyze, monitor ad make recommendations regarding financial and operational aspects of the Animal Welfare Department, including budget development, budget administration capital programs and departmental programs and their administration. Address problems for the City Administration and constituent complaints about animal-welfare issues. Conduct research to develop proposals for improvements and other initiatives within the Animal Welfare Department and assist in the implementation of those proposals. Monitor progress in Animal Welfare Department programs and capital projects by independently tracking records and indicators. Make recommendations for program improvement.
