CLOUD OPERATIONS ANALYST JOB PURPOSE

As an IT Cloud Operator, you provide foundational services for our key applications, ensuring they align seamlessly with business needs. You will be required to have knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, Cyber, and Service Management, executing industry-standard activities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Excellence:

Support, Maintain and enhance the reliability, security, and performance of our M365, Intune and Azure-based infrastructure by working closely with other team members, the Service Desk and Engineering teams,

Monitoring and Incident Response:

Implement robust monitoring solutions leveraging Azure Monitor and lead incident response Adhere to ITIL Incident Management and Problem Management processes for timely resolution.

Automation:

Drive automation initiatives using Low Code, PowerShell and Terraform to streamline common operational tasks and enhance overall efficiency.

Traditional Infrastructure Support:

Provide support for traditional infrastructure components, including firewalls and wireless technologies. Understand the importance of change control, firewall ports, the role of certificates. A good understanding of networking concepts, both LAN and WAN.

Performance Optimization:

Identify opportunities for performance optimization and cost management within the Azure environment, utilizing Azure Cost Management tools. Apply ITIL Change Management processes for controlled implementation.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational processes, procedures, and configurations, including M365 capabilities and traditional infrastructure components.

Delivery and Continuous Service Improvements:

Understanding how to improve our Cloud Services. Working in an Agile delivery process and from a backlog to deliver enhancements to our services within the Service Transition process so that they are constantly improving for our user base.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining M365 Services, Azure-based Cloud Infrastructure, Identity (Entra ID), Workplace Devices and more traditional Infrastructure items such as Wi-Fi and Firewalls.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Azure services and management tools.

Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell.

Knowledge of infrastructure and configuration as code tools and concepts. Ideally hands on experience with Terraform.

In-depth knowledge of Entra ID and M365 capabilities.

Understanding the importance of Cyber Security within a modern cloud environment.

Familiarity with traditional infrastructure components, including firewalls and wireless technologies.

Desirable:

Experience working with automation, configuration as code with languages such as Terraform, PowerShell and using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
