Security Operations Center (SOC) Job Overview We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst I - SOC Operations to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team in Harrisburg, PA. This entry-level cybersecurity role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts and operational events across mission-critical communication sites and information systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-priority environment. Candidates must be flexible and willing to support a 24/7 shift schedule . This is a full-time onsite position. In-person interviews are required. Key Responsibilities Monitor security events, alerts, and system activity within the Security Operations Center. Provide proactive onsite monitoring and response for critical communication systems and information technology environments. Review, classify, prioritize, and escalate security alerts based on established procedures. Perform initial investigation and triage of security incidents to determine validity and impact. Analyze technical data to identify potential threats, incidents, and false positives. Document security events, investigations, response actions, and escalation details accurately. Manage incident communications through email, chat, voice, and ticketing systems. Support cybersecurity incident response activities and assist with issue resolution. Follow SOC playbooks, procedures, dashboards, and operational metrics. Collaborate with team members to improve monitoring processes, detection strategies, and response procedures. Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders during security events. Required Qualifications Willingness to work a flexible 24/7 rotating shift schedule , including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create clear and accurate technical documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced Security Operations environment. Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Cybersecurity Operations, or related IT security environment. Experience with security monitoring, alert analysis, incident triage, or ticket-based workflows. Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, network monitoring, and incident response processes. Work Schedule Full-time onsite position. Must be available for rotating shifts supporting 24/7 operations.
Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 per hour
