Position Summary:
The Sr. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist is responsible for leading and executing the EHS and continuous improvement strategies across LPC operations. This role drives a culture of "Safety Always", operational excellence, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Sr. EHS & Continuous Improvement Specialist collaborates with supervisor(s) and cross-functional teams to implement effective systems, provide coaching, and cultivate a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role oversees both the EHS compliance programs and continuous improvement projects while leveraging Lean tools, behavior-based safety practices, and data-driven decision-making to advance operational performance and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
Implement and enforce EHS policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational goals. Champion a "Safety First" mindset across all operations and teams. Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and root cause analyses of incidents; develop and oversee corrective actions. Deliver regulatory and site-specific EHS training; maintain documentation and reporting systems. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. Conduct audits and inspections to assess and improve site EHS performance. Serve as a strategic partner to improve safety culture and accountability Partner with all levels of the organization to drive change, foster engagement, and implement improvements aligned with business objectives. Lead the execution of CI strategies, initiatives, and projects to drive measurable improvements in operations. Manage site CI initiatives, ensuring delivery on
KPIs:
Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity. Oversee and ensure effective use of the Leading 2 Lean system, including training, implementation, and maintenance. Coach teams on X-matrix and A3 deployment; support Value Stream Mapping and advanced problem-solving initiatives. Provide technical training oversight, working with operations to ensure development and delivery of robust training materials. Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization. Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in EHS and Continuous Improvement roles within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in deploying Lean tools, facilitating Kaizen events, and leading cultural change. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices in safety and environmental compliance. Experience with technical platforms such as FlexSim , and MiniTab preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills.

Ability to communicate technical concepts through various methods to various audiences. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Education and Certification Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Management, or related field preferred. CI certifications (e.g.: ASQ Black Belt, SCRUM Master) and safety certifications (OSHA 30, Mobile Equipment, etc.) highly desirable. Quality Steel is an equal opportunity employer. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
