Job Summary We are seeking a Client Operations Analyst to join a high-volume operations team within Corporate Trust at a leading financial services organization. This role is responsible for processing client instructions, confirming source funding, supporting payment processing activities, and ensuring transactions are completed accurately and within established deadlines. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. This position requires someone who can effectively navigate issues as they arise, communicate proactively, and demonstrate strong ownership of their work while collaborating within a team-oriented environment. This is a 3-month contract with the potential for conversion. The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA and requires 4 days per week onsite. Compensation for converted employees is approximately $50,000 annually. Role details are based on the hiring manager's requirements and requisition notes.
Process and execute client instructions related to payment activities, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
Payment Operations:
Confirm source funding, support money movement activities, and maintain a strong understanding of how funds move between accounts and financial systems.
High-Volume Transaction Processing:
Manage a significant daily workload, processing anywhere from 700 to 1,800 requests per day while maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
Issue Resolution:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues independently while escalating more complex situations when necessary.
Risk and Control Management:
Apply a risk-focused mindset to daily activities by identifying potential issues, recognizing patterns, and helping prevent repeated errors.
Team Collaboration:
Work within a shared team environment where responsibilities are distributed across outstanding requests and priorities are managed collectively.
Communication and Escalation:
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership, quickly identifying concerns, raising potential issues, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Continuous Learning:
Successfully complete a comprehensive onboarding and training period, with an expected ramp-up time of approximately three months before independently managing day-to-day responsibilities. Qualifications 1-2+ years of professional experience in operations, accounting, finance, customer service, administration, or another transferable field Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions such as lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis Experience using Microsoft Office applications Preferred Experience Financial services, banking, trust operations, accounting, or payment-processing experience Experience working in a high-volume operational environment Demonstrated ownership and self-starting behaviors, including examples of taking initiative inside or outside of work Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in incorporating technology into everyday workflows A strong risk and control mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and prevent recurring issues Experience handling money movement, transaction processing, or account-related activities Why Join Us This is an excellent opportunity to launch or continue a career in financial services while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced operations environment.
