Join the UOC team! University Orthopedics Center, a leader in orthopedic care throughout central PA for 35 years, is currently seeking a full-time Coordinator, Decision Support & Accounting position. We are excited to meet highly motivated candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced professional medical practice.
Position Summary :
The Coordinator, Decision Support & Accounting is responsible for developing decision support capabilities and implementing data management tools to improve data quality and business information. The position is responsible for assisting management & physicians in utilizing and analyzing data to make informed decisions and support corporate reporting requirements. The coordinator shall also coordinate the analysis and reporting of revenue and expense results and perform accounting activities for designated UOC entities. The Coordinator, Decision Support & Accounting reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Decision Support Provide ongoing data analysis to UOC decision makers that is relevant and assist in problem solving, solution development, decision making and strategic planning Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and dissemination of routine management reports and analysis for UOC business activities Supports the development of Ad Hoc reporting capabilities to meet the information requirements of management, Board of Directors and key business partners (e.g. affiliated Hospitals, Banking Institutions and Insurance Companies) Work with finance and reimbursement staff to maintain and improve costing and revenue models Accounting Prepares monthly financial statements for designated UOC businesses. Organizes and completes recurring statistical reports including Physician Productivity Report; Accounts Receivable Collection Efficiency; Physical Therapy Productivity Report; Accounts Receivable Aging & Payor Mix Analysis and Budget Variance Report. Administers financial reporting requirements for external agencies including UOC banking institutions; government taxing authorities; regulatory entities and UOC auditors Assist in negotiating and developing contracts with primary vendors and third-party payors Analyze direct and indirect costs and determine proper allocation for recording cost elements; develop and improve methods of calculating and controlling costs Determine accuracy of distribution of labor, material and overhead charges; recommend and implement improvements; compare and audit actual direct and indirect expenses on a recurring basis. Financial Management Coordinates the annual operating and capital budgeting process Develop required budgeting tools and prepare financial planning documents for Management and Board Approval. Qualifications and other Requirements Degree in business administration, business analytics, finance or data science Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics, financial projections, etc. Skilled with Excel, BI Power, dashboards and other analytical tools Knowledge of basic accounting; e.g., part of undergraduate studies Experience with (or ability to learn) NetSuite and NextGen Entry level may be acceptable as long as demonstrated ability to learn quickly
