Job Summary We are seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Foreign Exchange Operations team. This role supports the daily processing and oversight of high-volume FX trade and cash activity in a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work through large volumes of transactions while maintaining accuracy. This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite. Standard hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities Trade Processing:
Process outstanding FX trades, same-day cash trades, and upcoming trade activity accurately and within required deadlines
Cash Operations Support:
Monitor and process cash movements related to FX transactions, ensuring timely and accurate handling of funding activity
Reconciliations & Balancing:
Perform balancing and reconciliation activities throughout the day to identify and resolve discrepancies across transactions and accounts
Confirmation Management:
Complete trade confirmations throughout the day, ensuring operational accuracy and timely completion of required controls
Exception Resolution:
Investigate trade and cash-related discrepancies, research root causes, and work toward timely resolution of exceptions
Queue Management:
Manage a high-volume processing queue containing hundreds of items, while effectively prioritizing urgent and time-sensitive activity
Systems Navigation:
Utilize multiple internal systems and tools to process, track, and reconcile transaction activity across the FX operations workflow
Client & Internal Communication:
Communicate with internal partners and, at times, external contacts to resolve discrepancies and support operational needs
Operational Accuracy:
Maintain a high level of precision while supporting an environment that processes significant daily transaction volumes
Team Collaboration & Learning:
Participate in a structured training program, beginning with approximately four weeks of onboarding and continuing with skill development over time as knowledge expands
Process Improvement & Innovation:
Leverage AI tools and other technologies where appropriate to improve efficiency, support research, and enhance operational workflows Qualifications 2-5+ years of relevant experience preferred; open to strong entry-level candidates or recent graduates with related experience or demonstrated interest in finance/operations Background in finance, financial services, operations, payments, or a related field preferred Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment Effective time management skills and the ability to stay organized under deadline pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and work through large transaction volumes with accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including basic Excel functions Bachelor's degree preferred Preferred Experience Experience in foreign exchange, trade operations, cash operations, payments, or financial transaction processing Experience with SWIFT, payments, wires, reconciliations, or transaction processing Exposure to reconciliation, balancing, confirmations, or exception management workflows Experience utilizing AI tools or other productivity-enhancing technologies is a plus Why Join Us This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience within FX operations while developing expertise in trade processing, cash activity, reconciliations, and exception management.
