Job Description
Operations Analyst
Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI)—a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Post Top Workplaces honoree—is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support the administration, monitoring, scheduling, execution, and operational support of enterprise batch processing and automated workflows across a complex PeopleSoft platform in a federal environment.
This role reports to the IT Operations Lead and supports production and test operations involving Stonebranch, Ab Initio Control Center, Phire, GoAnyw, Windows/RDP, UNIX, VDI, and Azure DevOps Boards (ADO). The ideal candidate will combine strong operational discipline with hands-on understanding of workload automation, batch execution, incident response, runbooks and SOPs, release support, and coordination across infrastructure, application, and interface support teams to maintain reliable business processing and system interfaces.

The ideal candidate will combine strong operational discipline with hands-on understanding of workload automation, batch execution, incident response, runbooks and SOPs, release support, and coordination across infrastructure, application, and interface support teams to maintain reliable business processing and system interfaces.
Work Location:
Hybrid, On-site - Arlington, VAKey Responsibilities- Support enterprise batch processing, workload automation, job scheduling, monitoring, execution support, and day-to-day operational activities across production and test environments under the direction of the IT Operations Lead.
- Configure, schedule, maintain, and support batch jobs, workflows, calendars, triggers, dependencies, and execution windows in Stonebranch and related tools to ensure alignment with business processing requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor workflows, jobs, alerts, file transfers, and system health on a 24x7 basis as required; identify, investigate, and help resolve job failures, delays, missed dependencies, interface issues, and performance degradation.
- Support production releases and test activities involving new workflows, interface changes, configuration changes, and operational requirements, working closely with the IT Operations Lead, Ab Initio support resources, infrastructure teams, PeopleSoft administrators, developers, and trading partners.
- Execute operational support activities during incidents and outages, including communications, timely escalation, restart, recovery, rollback, and approved remediation procedures to restore service and minimize business disruption.
- Create, update, and follow operational runbooks, SOPs, scheduling standards, naming conventions, workflow documentation, and knowledge articles related to batch execution, interfaces, and operational procedures.
- Track processing trends, recurring issues, SLA performance, and operational metrics; document incident status, actions taken, and solutions; support audit requests and produce reports on job execution, failures, and service health.
- Ensure adnce to organizational security policies, operational controls, audit requirements, and change management processes, and participate in incident reviews, release readiness activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, production support, workload automation, enterprise scheduling, batch operations, or a similar operational support role in a complex enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with Stonebranch or a comparable enterprise workload automation/scheduling platform, including job scheduling, dependency management, calendars, triggers, alerts, execution windows, monitoring, and recovery support.
- Strong understanding of production operations and batch processing in UNIX/Linux and Windows-based environments; experience with tools such as Ab Initio Control Center, GoAnyw, Phire, Windows/RDP, VDI, and Azure DevOps Boards (ADO) is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting incident, problem, change, and release processes; ability to maintain runbooks and knowledge articles, communicate clearly during operational events, and coordinate effectively across technical and business teams.

Desired Skills
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM operational processing, interfaces, file transfers, batch schedules, and the broader support model required for enterprise HR systems in production and test environments.
- Experience supporting 24x7 operations in federal, DoD, or other highly regulated environments, including operational readiness, outage handling, audit support, and adnce to security and control requirements.
- Knowledge of workload automation best practices, job stream design, scheduling governance, SLA tracking, interface monitoring, recovery procedures, and operational reporting using enterprise scheduling and integration tools.
- Ability to work effectively with operations leads, application teams, infrastructure, database, security, integration, and support teams to maintain stable and reliable processing and timely issue resolution.
Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Work Environment:
