Job Description

ES AMER ARS
division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: In the Continuous Improvement Specialist role you will manage, plan, coordinate and lead the deployment of the Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) throughout the Sumter facility in support of strategic goals and objectives.
In this function you will:
Lead successful Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events for the Sumter facility. Utilize ECIS Lean tools to drive process improvements. Assist with development and deployment of the long-term CI roadmap for the Sumter facility. Act as a Lean tool expert by utilizing and training and developing others in the use of the tools. Assist with deployment and sustainment of the site Lean Daily Management System as pat of
ECIS:
Daily Accountability, continuous improvement, process verification, standard work, visual management, etc. Act as both lead and facilitator for site Cost Saving objectives in relation to areas of responsibility. Support other departments and functional areas with Operational Excellence objectives (EHS, EQMS, etc.) as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited institution with minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience in a CI/Lean/Process Engineering role.
Lean / Problem
solving training or certification. Experience with low-medium volume, high mix, ETO manufacturing. Basic skills and demonstrated experience with Lean tools, some Eaton specific: VSM, BPI, RIE, 5S, LMF, SUR, VAVE, IBD, etc. Cost Savings program experience

Effective communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required. Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective problem solving and collaboration through influence and leadership. Basic proficiency with basic problem-solving tools and lean manufacturing principles such as 5Why, A3, PDCA, 5S, kanban, push vs pull, visual controls, standard work, Pareto Principle, etc. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, etc.) Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements.

The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
