Senior Process Engineer United Employment Group Everett, WA Job Details Full-time $175,000 - $200,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Operations management Bachelor's degree Chemistry Training & development Root cause analysis Full Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Process Manager to lead and improve front-end investment casting operations at the facility. This individual will be responsible for implementing structured procedures, process controls, training programs, and accountability measures to address longstanding inefficiencies, documentation gaps, and operational inconsistencies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong "quality first" mindset, extensive hands-on technical expertise, and the leadership ability to drive meaningful cultural and operational change across the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and standardize procedures for front-end investment casting processes Establish process controls, documentation standards, and training programs to improve consistency and reduce scrap Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Wax, Shell, Casting, and Heat Treat operations Identify root causes of process variation and implement corrective actions Ensure operational discipline and compliance with established procedures and quality standards Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput Oversee and mentor technical personnel, including industrial engineering and process lab support staff Drive a culture focused on process integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement Support metallurgical evaluations, process development, and material performance analysis Qualifications Minimum 15 years of hands-on investment casting front-end process engineering experience required Extensive expertise in Wax, Shell, Casting, and Heat Treat process improvement Strong understanding of investment casting materials, equipment, and process control variables Demonstrated experience writing and implementing technical procedures and process documentation Proven ability to lead operational change and enforce process discipline in a manufacturing environment Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Background Aerospace investment casting foundry experience strongly preferred Deep metallurgical knowledge of aerospace-grade alloys and casting processes preferred Six Sigma or other structured continuous improvement methodology experience highly preferred Experience reducing scrap and improving process capability in high-specification manufacturing environments Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required Degree concentration in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or related technical discipline preferred Equivalent industry experience may supplement educational background in select cases Additional Notes This is a high-impact leadership role designed to establish and strengthen process engineering capabilities within the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving operational performance, reducing scrap, and building long-term process stability and accountability.
Pay:
$175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
