Role Summary The Senior Continuous Improvement Partner is a subject matter expert in the analysis, design and improvement of processes and tools at Alaska Air Group. As an individual contributor, this role solves complex, ambiguous problems utilizing continuous improvement methodologies. Additionally, this role is seen as a subject-matter expert who can deliver outcomes and coach others on best continuous improvement practices. Key Duties Act as lead subject matter expert in the analysis, design and improvement of processes and tools utilized by the Corporate Strategy and Performance Improvement team. Partner with the Director of Corporate Strategy and Performance Improvement and Continuous Improvement Partner to set priorities for process improvement efforts to ensure greatest benefit. Exercise judgement to make decisions regarding the performance management and improvement processes to ensure a positive, measurable, and sustainable impact on the organization. Identify issues and opportunities of current team processes, and makes recommendations to address improvements to their structure, governance, capabilities, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, measurement and communication. Influence and coaches cross-departmental and cross-divisional teams to develop and implement new or improved processes to deliver significant changes to the business. Build collaborative, process-centric cross-divisional teams and processes to influence and sustain improvements and changes. Help to grow continuous improvement capabilities with the organization in partnership with leadership. Identify and communicate any unresolved problems or possible timeline issues along with recommending actions for correction. Partner with leaders to conduct data analysis and utilize a data-driven approach for setting priorities and for identifying opportunities for increasing efficiencies and effectiveness. Responsible for monitoring and understanding process trends and leading practices occurring in the marketplace. Own reporting, process improvement implementation efforts, and change management plans to ensure adoption of improved processes. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required 4 years of experience in management consulting, project management, change management, organizational development, Lean/Six Sigma process improvement, or related area. A Bachelor's degree with a focus in business administration, organizational development, human resources or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. Proven project and change management skills, and the ability to apply research and best practices to existing business problems. Ability to lead analytical studies, project definition, and recommendations. Demonstrated experience using a data-driven approach for decision making and solution implementation. Experience utilizing integrated HR/people systems. Knowledge of HR/people processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Certified practitioner in one or more of the following areas: Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW) certified, Greenbelt/Blackbelt, Lean, or Six Sigma. Starting Rate Salary Range $90,750-$136,150 / year Bonus Salary Details Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees.
