SUMMARY The Inventory Control & Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring 100% inventory accuracy, data integrity, and seamless material flow across our local operational nodes (PROD & JVL). This role balances high-level data management and systems analysis (60%) with hands-on-floor auditing, cycle counting, and warehouse coordination (40%). The employee will take full ownership of daily manufacturing metrics and inventory reconciliations in the ERP and will serve as the primary analytical support to the Operations & Inventory Supervisor to facilitate strategic site expansion and integration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SYSTEM MANAGEMENT & DATA INTEGRITY
(60% OF TIME)
Daily Production Reporting:
Compile, verify, and deliver the Daily Production Report to leadership, ensuring all throughput, yield, and operational metrics from PROD are accurate and submitted on time. ERP Administration (Business Central): Execute and oversee all inventory transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including item journals, bin transfers, and raw material consumption posting.
Material Reconciliation:
Audit and process material returns sent back to the raw materials warehouse (KET), ensuring physical quantities exactly match system records after production runs.
WIP & Finished Goods Tracking:
Document and log the systematic transfer of Work-in-Process (WIP/bulk candy) within JVL/PROD, as well as the outbound transfer of Finished Goods (FG) toward the external distribution center (Adel).
Discrepancy Root-Cause Analysis:
Investigate system variances, resolve unposted journals before week-end closures, and clear inventory errors in Business Central.
OPERATIONAL CONTROL & FLOOR EXECUTION
(40% OF TIME)
Local Cycle Counting Program:
Lead and execute the daily cycle counting schedule specifically for the PROD plant and the JVL (WIP) warehouse to guarantee audit-ready inventory accuracy.
Floor & Bin Coordination:
Audit physical inventory placement to ensure strict compliance with system-assigned locations (bin mapping), preventing misplaced inventory on the production floor.
Material Flow Supervision:
Monitor the staging of raw materials received from KET, ensuring production lines are supplied efficiently and excess materials are properly staged for return.
Site Integration Support:
Assist the Supervisor in auditing, mapping, and organizing warehouse space during the ongoing operational alignment/fusion of the PROD and JVL footprints.
QUALIFICATIONS ERP
Proficiency:
Hands-on experience executing inventory movements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (highly preferred) or Tier 1 ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel Skills:
High proficiency in spreadsheet management (e.g., advanced logical, lookup, and data-cleansing formulas) to automate data compilation for the daily report.
Logistical Acumen:
Clear understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), consumption journals, FIFO methodologies, and Bin/Location management.
Soft Skills:
High level of autonomy, sharp attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to interface effectively with production operators. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a highly analytical related field. At least 1-3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Manufacturing Logistics, or Warehousing environments.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel. Ability to learn other application software is essential to performing job tasks.
