What You'll DoLead Fiscal Management & Budgeting:
Develop, forecast, and manage multi-fund budgets including general funds, grants, tuition revenue, and foundation accounts while overseeing purchasing and financial compliance.Manage Academic & Program Operations:
Direct course scheduling, enrollment tracking, workload planning, accreditation systems, Title II reporting, facilities, and departmental records.Direct HR & Personnel Administration:
Function as the primary HR Coordinator overseeing recruitment, appointment processes, labor agreements, contract generation, and timesheets across faculty and staff.Supervise & Empower Staff:
Hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and mentor administrative staff, building a supportive, high-accountability team environment. What Would Make You a Great FitStrategic & Operational Expertise:
Broad, expert knowledge of academic operations, budget forecasting, internal controls, HR practices, and collective bargaining compliance.Analytical & Solutions-Driven:

Collaborative Leader:
Proven experience supervising staff, resolving conflicts, and communicating effectively across diverse, professional teams.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, higher education administration, management, or a related field and five years of progressively responsible professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must have demonstrated supervisory experience, including responsibility for directing and evaluating the work of employees. Must have progressively responsible experience in at least two of the following areas: fiscal management, human resources, organizational operations, student or academic services, compliance, or program administration. Advanced degree preferred.Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
