Job Description

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The FTZ Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing foreign trade zone (FTZ) and customs clearance operations for an automotive manufacturing company while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations This is an in-office position based near Vance, AL.
EXPECTATIONS
  • Oversee documentation for FTZ operations and customs clearance in accordance with CBP rules and regulations
  • Ensure adherence to partner government agency (PGA) requirements, tariffs, and license requirements
  • Research and resolve zone inventory balance discrepancies
  • Maintain records in accordance with document retention procedures
  • Keep customers apprised of admission and entry statuses and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Audit FTZ files and support post-entry responses to
CF28/CF29
inquiries
  • Track monthly KPIs and report to the client
  • Manage all aspects of a team of ten and serve as the operational focal point for cross-functional peers
ESSENTIALS
  • Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) required; Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in imports and foreign trade zones
  • 3+ years of experience in customs brokerage and foreign trade zone operations
  • Strong knowledge of HTSUS classification
  • Proficiency with MS Office and FTZ entry and admission filing software
  • Experience with automotive imports and an audit role a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
