This role is responsible for developing high-performing teams, implementing strategic field programs, and ensuring campaigns are executed with excellence, integrity, and cultural competency. Your leadership will influence how communities are engaged, how organizers grow into leaders, and how field operations evolve to meet the changing realities of Arizona's political landscape. Position Overview The Field Director leads statewide field strategy and execution for Victory Forward Solutions, overseeing Regional Deputy Directors, Team Leads, canvass operations, and large-scale voter engagement programs across multiple campaigns and initiatives. This role combines strategic planning, operational leadership, coaching, analytics, and relationship management. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can balance campaign urgency with long-term organizational sustainability, while fostering an inclusive and accountable team culture. The Field Director collaborates closely with campaign leadership, operations, HR, data, and client partners to ensure programs achieve measurable impact and align with organizational values. Key Outcomes for Success A successful Field Director consistently: Achieves statewide field goals across voter contact, canvassing, registration, persuasion, turnout, and engagement metrics. Builds and leads high-performing field teams through coaching, accountability systems, leadership development, and clear communication. Uses data to drive strategic decisions , improve field efficiency, and address performance gaps in real time. Maintains strong client and partner relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and consistent program delivery. Ensures field operations remain compliant, organized, and scalable across multiple regions and campaigns. Creates inclusive and culturally competent field programs that reflect and support Arizona's diverse communities. Strengthens internal systems and long-term organizing infrastructure that support future campaigns and movement-building work. Core Responsibilities Field Strategy & Program Leadership Develop and oversee statewide field strategies aligned with campaign objectives and organizational priorities. Translate campaign goals into measurable regional and daily field plans. Monitor statewide performance and adjust deployment, staffing, or tactics as needed to maximize impact. Leadership Development & Team Management Supervise and support Regional Deputy Directors, Team Leads, and other field leadership staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, growth, and mission alignment. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance support to field leadership teams. Partner with HR and Operations on hiring, onboarding, staffing transitions, and leadership development. Data, Reporting & Analytics Ensure accurate usage of VAN, MiniVAN, dashboards, and internal reporting systems. Analyze program metrics and field trends to inform strategy and improve outcomes. Collaborate with Data teams to maintain reporting accuracy and operational consistency. Prepare and present regular program updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to leadership and clients. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a senior point of contact for assigned clients and campaign partners. Maintain proactive communication and ensure field execution aligns with client goals and expectations. Represent Victory Forward Solutions professionally at meetings, training, political events, and public engagements. Operational & Cross-Department Collaboration Work closely with HR, Operations, Data, Compliance, and Finance teams to support seamless statewide execution. Ensure field teams have appropriate staffing, technology, training materials, and operational support. Support implementation of organizational policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards. Additional Responsibilities Assist in curriculum development, field training systems, and leadership pipeline building. Support innovation and continuous improvement in field organizing practices and technology usage. Perform additional duties as assigned. A college degree is not required for success in this role. Required 4-7 years of experience in electoral campaigns, field organizing, civic engagement, or community organizing leadership. Experience leading large-scale field operations and managing multi-level teams. Demonstrated success overseeing GOTV, canvassing, voter registration, or persuasion programs. Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills. Experience using VAN, MiniVAN, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and field analytics tools. Ability to use data and reporting systems to guide strategic decision-making. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural competency. Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Data, Compliance, and Finance teams. Ability to travel statewide approximately 40% of the time. Reliable transportation and internet access required Preferred, Not Required Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish strongly preferred). Experience building leadership development or training programs. Experience working in progressive, advocacy, labor, or movement-building environments. Strong systems-thinking and strategic planning skills. Familiarity with digital organizing tools, peer-to-peer texting platforms, and modern field technologies.
