We are seeking a hands-on, driven, and people-focused Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations and help elevate performance across our production environment. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives on improving output, developing teams, solving problems, and driving accountability in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview The Operations Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations across key production and support areas. This leader will play a critical role in achieving production targets, supporting on-time delivery, improving efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and reinforcing a strong culture of safety and quality. This position is ideal for a leader who is equally comfortable being on the shop floor, coaching team members, resolving operational challenges, and helping shape a stronger, more scalable operation for the future. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved Drive execution of the production schedule in alignment with customer demand and business priorities Partner with Production Leads to assign priorities, remove obstacles, and maintain strong floor communication Monitor output, labor utilization, capacity, and constraints, and take action to keep production on track Develop, coach, and mentor team members while strengthening accountability across the operation Build and execute cross-training plans to improve flexibility, reduce bottlenecks, and support workforce development Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on throughput, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices, including 5S and standard work Develop and improve systems, metrics, and visual controls that support operational performance Help improve manufacturing methods, workflow, and overall shop efficiency Own key operational KPIs including safety, quality, labor efficiency, utilization, cost, and on-time delivery Manage Operations-related budgets and support cost savings initiatives Oversee area maintenance activity, including preventive maintenance programs, contractor coordination, machine uptime, and related service agreements What Success Looks Like In this role, success will include: Consistent execution of the production schedule Improved throughput and on-time delivery performance Stronger team accountability and cross-functional coordination Better labor flexibility through training and cross-training Measurable gains in efficiency, uptime, organization, and overall operational discipline Continued reinforcement of a safe, high-performance manufacturing culture What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered 5-7 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience leading production teams in a hands-on manufacturing setting Strong knowledge of production control, inventory management, labor planning, and operational execution Proven ability to lead people, create accountability, and drive results Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma background Experience with manual machining environments and oversight of machining operations Experience implementing KPIs, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives Leadership Traits That Will Make You Successful Positive, collaborative, and approachable leadership style Strong floor presence and willingness to be hands-on Ability to lead by example and build trust with employees at all levels Sound judgment, strong follow-through, and a bias toward action Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with longer-term improvement efforts This is an opportunity to take on a visible leadership role in a respected aerospace manufacturing business where your impact will be direct and measurable.
