TYPICAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, production, supply chain, and operational functions to ensure the company delivers high-quality products efficiently, safely, and profitably. This role drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term strategic planning across the organization. The Director of Operations will lead multiple departments, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with company goals.
PRIMARY POSITION DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, supply chain, and logistics. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support business growth and profitability. Optimize production processes through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ensure proper equipment utilization, preventive maintenance, and capital planning. Manage supply chain, procurement, and inventory levels to support production needs. Ensure accurate inventory controls and reduce waste and excess stock. Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth strategies, including automation and technology enhancements. Lead change initiatives to support scalability and operational excellence. Drive cross-functional collaboration among Operations, Engineering, Sales, HR, and Finance.
POSITION REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field required. 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations. Proven track record in production management, process optimization, and team leadership. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, production software, and data analytics. Strong background in lean manufacturing, production planning, and process improvement. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong financial understanding related to cost of goods, margins, and budgets.
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
