Job Description
Bacigalupi Vineyards is a small family run operation that has been in business since 1956. We make small lots of premium wines in Russian River Valley. We are currently seeking a part time (3-4 days a week) Wine Educator/ Assistant Tasting Room Manager. This position is an integral member our winery team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Focus on providing great hospitality and customer service
- Enthusiasm for wine
- Professional appearance and upbeat demeanor
- Must be 21 years old
- Retail sales experience a plus
- Proficient in word, Excel, and email
- Available to work weekends and holidays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and serve guests hospitably
- Describe wines, winemaking techniques, and family history
- Effectively advises and sells wine to customers
- Create a memorable experience for guests
- Wash and polish glassware for Tasting Room
- Handle routine point of sale transactions
- Provide general tourist information
- Answer tasting room phone to field questions and arrange group tours and tastings
- Assist with hospitality special events as needed
- Assist with display and pricing of retail items and wines as needed
- General cleaning as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
