The Role We are looking for an Operations Dispatch Manager to lead our Dispatch Operations team and help ensure every order gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be, and with the level of service our clients expect. This is a hands-on management role. You will lead, coach, and develop our Dispatch team while managing the day-to-day operation in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You will be responsible for monitoring operational performance, identifying issues before they impact the customer, making real-time decisions, and holding the team accountable for results. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who is comfortable making decisions under pressure, enjoys solving operational problems, and knows how to use data to improve performance. Why This Role Matters Foodja operates in a time-sensitive business where every order matters. Our Dispatch team is at the center of the operation — connecting restaurants, drivers, clients, and internal teams to make sure thousands of meals arrive when and where they are expected. As the Operations & Dispatch Manager, you will have a direct impact on how we operate every day. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team, improve the way we work, and help build the systems and processes that allow Foodja to scale. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, solving real-time problems, and seeing the direct results of their decisions. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Dispatchers responsible for managing orders from placement through delivery. Own daily Dispatch Operations, ensuring orders are delivered on time, accurately, and with excellent service. Make real-time decisions to resolve delivery issues involving drivers, restaurants, clients, and internal teams. Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training, and ongoing team development. Monitor operational KPIs, identify performance gaps and recurring issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and service. Develop and continuously improve dispatch processes, procedures, and best practices. Partner with Operations, Client Services, Driver Operations, and other internal teams to improve the overall delivery experience. Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, delivery, transportation, customer service, or a related field. Experience leading, managing, or coaching a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially when operating under pressure. Ability to manage multiple priorities and quickly determine what needs attention first. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable holding people accountable while building a positive and productive team environment. Comfortable working with data, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify problems and improve results. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with dispatch, routing, delivery, transportation, or order management systems is a plus. Experience in logistics, delivery, transportation, restaurant, catering, or other high-volume operations is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required. What Success Looks Like The Dispatch team knows what is expected, responds quickly when problems occur, and consistently delivers strong operational results.
