This is a high-impact role ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in automotive accounting, dealership operations, and team leadership . Key Responsibilities Oversee all automotive dealership accounting operations , including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), DMV processing, and deal posting Manage and mentor a team of 4-6 office staff and accounting professionals Partner directly with the CFO and General Manager on financial strategy and operational execution Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets, contracts, and financial documentation Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and flooring schedules Perform bank reconciliations, schedule reviews, and tax filings Drive cost control, margin improvement, and financial accuracy across the dealership Support leadership with financial analysis and reporting insights Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience Prior experience as a Business Office Manager (BOM) required Strong knowledge of automotive accounting processes and compliance requirements Proven leadership experience managing office/accounting teams High-level proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK)
