Role:

The Operations Manager in our aerospace manufacturing facility will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of production to ensure compliance with stringent aerospace standards. This role demands a strategic leader who can manage complex metal fabrication processes while maintaining high levels of workplace safety and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage warehouse operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and quality benchmarks. They will play a critical role in employee performance management, fostering a collaborative and motivated workforce. Ultimately, this position ensures that manufacturing operations align with both regulatory requirements and company goals, delivering superior aerospace components on time and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the aerospace manufacturing industry. Demonstrated knowledge of aerospace standards and regulatory requirements. Proven experience managing metal fabrication and production processes. Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Engineering Management or Business Administration. Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies. Experience with advanced warehouse management systems and logistics coordination. Previous leadership experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems such as AS9100.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily production activities to meet aerospace industry standards and customer specifications. Oversee metal fabrication processes, ensuring precision and quality control throughout manufacturing stages. Lead and develop teams by setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing coaching. Coordinate warehouse operations including inventory management, material handling, and logistics to support production schedules.
