Job Overview:

Historians trace the harvest of coffee beans to surrounding countries of Yemen, but most agree that it was Yemenites who first brewed it to drink. Qamaria Coffee offers traditional Yemeni coffee and tea beverages to the masses. Qamaria Yemeni Coffee is looking for an experienced and passionate Cafe Team Lead to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and experience managing a high-volume cafe. Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during and outside of a set 8 hour workday. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory, manage ordering, and reduce waste. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in working condition.

Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor cafe staff, fostering a positive work environment. Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring proper coverage without excess labor cost. Enforce policies, procedures, and performance standards. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching when needed.

Customer Service & Sales:

Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels. Handle customer complaints, feedback, and special requests professionally. Drive sales and meet financial goals through promotions, upselling, and quality service. Monitor online reviews and customer feedback to improve operations.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

Handle cash management, deposits, and register balancing. Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs. Work closely with ownership to provide reports and insights on store performance.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role at a cafe, restaurant, or similar food service establishment. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of California labor laws and ability to manage scheduling and compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control. Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial reporting. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
