Job Description

If so, you might be our next Operations Manager ! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing big‑picture planning with hands‑on execution. You'll lead our office and warehouse support teams, champion operational excellence, and help keep our customer experience running at elite levels. What You'll Be Doing As an Operations Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our on‑road and in‑office operations.
Your day-to-day will include:
Customer & Driver Support Monitor on-road operations and exceptions Support driver teams by troubleshooting customer issues in real time Partner with Driver Managers to adjust route assignments based on service performance Office Leadership & Team Development Train and onboard new customer service representatives Build and manage schedules for office staff and drivers Ensure full office coverage and hours budget compliance Operational Excellence Oversee routing alignment with time windows and DOT regulations Prepare manifests and validate dispatch readiness daily Review payroll accuracy and partner on necessary corrections Manage check-in compliance and nightly operational recaps 3PL Operations (If applicable) Ensure inbound trucks are staffed, unloaded, and staged properly Align outbound product staging by route for smooth load-out Administrative & Customer‑Focused Responsibilities Process reschedules, refunds, MARS exceptions, and cancellations Investigate freight and Sedgwick claims Maintain an organized, well‑equipped office by managing inventory and supply orders What You'll Own (Deliverables) Daily Exception monitoring (5‑min violations, not-at-home, damages, etc.) Save-the-Sale compliance Route readiness verification Worklist completion by 10:00 a.m. Nightly recap of operations Weekly Inventory checks Schedule reviews with Driver Managers Leadership meetings Monthly Performance evaluations Recycling/waste audits Quarterly Partner with GM on community giveback initiatives Key Metrics You Influence On-Time & Complete delivery success Driver and customer survey scores Employee engagement & retention Safety & compliance rates Productivity and financial performance Your Partnerships You'll collaborate closely with: Regional Recruiter (staffing needs) HR Business Partner (employee reviews, engagement, accountability) Operational Excellence Team (process improvements) Safety Director (safety trends + focus areas) Training Team (onboarding + new hire success) Who You Are A leader who can balance people, process, and performance A communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments A forward-thinker who anticipates needs and solves problems early A team-builder committed to strong culture and high service standards Ready to Lead With Us? INDExempt Pay:
