healthcare construction experience to lead field operations on hospital, medical office, and healthcare facility projects. The ideal candidate has run jobs inside active, occupied healthcare environments - managing infection control, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and the rigorous inspection and documentation standards required for OSHPD/HCAI-regulated work - and has the field discipline to keep patients, staff, and inspectors satisfied while hitting demanding schedules. Key Responsibilities Lead all field operations for healthcare construction projects, from mobilization through
OSHPD/HCAI
closeout and certification. Manage Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), infection control risk assessments (ICRA), and interim life safety plans in active/occupied healthcare facilities. Coordinate closely with hospital facilities staff, infection control officers, and
OSHPD/HCAI
inspectors on daily field activity. Manage subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and jobsite safety across multiple concurrent work areas. Maintain rigorous documentation standards required for

inspection and closeout (IOR coordination, testing/inspection logs, as-builts). Lead daily coordination meetings and maintain a proactive look-ahead schedule to manage phased, occupied-facility construction sequencing. Partner with the Project Executive/PM on budget tracking, change orders, and owner communication. Maintain strong relationships with hospital facilities/capital projects teams, OSHPD/HCAI reviewers, and healthcare-experienced subcontractors. Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers on healthcare-specific field requirements. Uphold strict safety, infection control, and life-safety standards in a sensitive, occupied clinical environment. Qualifications 10+ years of construction superintendent experience, with significant time on OSHPD/HCAI-regulated healthcare projects in California. Proven experience working in active/occupied hospital or clinical environments (ILSM, ICRA, interim life safety compliance). Established relationships with Bay Area health systems, hospital facilities teams, and healthcare-focused subcontractors. Working knowledge of
OSHPD/HCAI
inspection, testing, and closeout requirements. Strong scheduling skills - comfortable managing phased construction sequencing in occupied facilities. Excellent communication skills; ability to coordinate with hospital staff, inspectors, and infection control officers. OSHA 30 certification preferred. High school diploma required; trade school or construction management coursework a plus.
