Job Description

Barton Thoroughbreds is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Thoroughbred farm in Santa Ynez. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. You will play a key role in keeping schedules, vendors, and financial processes running smoothly. This is not a passive administrative position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and keeps things moving without constant direction. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily schedules, appointments, and operational logistics Manage invoices, payment tracking, and vendor communication Maintain accurate records across administrative and financial systems Serve as a central communication point between staff, vendors, and leadership Track tasks and ensure nothing falls through the cracks Identify inefficiencies and help improve processes Qualifications 2+ years of experience in operations, office management, or administrative coordination Experience with invoicing, billing, or financial tracking required Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks Clear and professional communication skills Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment Preferred (Not Required) Experience in agriculture, equine, veterinary, or similar environments Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar systems Compensation & Benefits $26
