Forward Logistics is an intrastate and interstate motor carrier specializing in Loose Cargo Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Full Trailer Load (FTL), oversized cargo, and special project cargo delivery. In human words, we move cargo from point A to point B on the road with a truck.

The Trucking Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant movement of freight. This role supervises operational staff, monitors service performance, resolves operational issues, and supports customer satisfaction through effective coordination and leadership. The Operations Supervisor works closely with dispatch, warehouse, safety, compliance, and customer service teams to maintain operational efficiency and high service standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Operations & Team Supervision Lead and supervise corresponding teammates and provide daily operational guidance and support. Oversee daily trucking operations, including routing, scheduling, load planning, and driver assignments. Monitor on-time pickups and deliveries while ensuring service commitments are met. Review discrepancies and operational issues and take appropriate corrective actions. Develop solutions to address complex operational problems or customer dissatisfaction. Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, drivers, terminals, and customers regarding shipment status and operational needs. Cover daily operational tasks when short-staffed or as business needs require. Respond promptly to service disruptions, delays, accidents, or operational emergencies. Collaborate with various departments and team members to ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority. Compliance & Safety Review operational compliance concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Participate in accident investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Promote a strong safety culture and proactive compliance practices. Customer & Stakeholder Relations Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, airlines/CFS, and internal stakeholders. Support service recovery efforts and customer escalations in a professional and timely manner. Ensure customer-specific SOPs and service requirements are followed consistently. Administrative & Reporting Review shipment documentation, operational reports, and billing-related information for accuracy. Track operational KPIs such as service performance, delays, utilization, and productivity. Assist management with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning. Assume other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of trucking, transportation, or logistics operations experience. Prior supervisory or dispatch leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations and transportation operations. Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS). High school graduate required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin) is a must.
