$70,304 - $$92,335/year Full time Summary The Operations Supervisor oversees the Organic Compost Facility daily operations to ensure the highest standards of safety and operations are followed. The Operation Supervisor is responsible for providing the highest quality of leadership to the sites staff and processes.Job Description Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the daily operations of organic compost facility. Maximize product demands efficiently, cost effective and safely. Ensures the highest standards of safety and operations are followed. Ensures quality of product meets market standards by understanding all local and state compliance and environmental requirements/regulations. Oversees the work and schedules of staff in order to meet product needs and demands. Makes continuous effort to maximize production and efficiency at the site without compromising safety of employees, customers, and/or vendors. Oversees the cleanliness of the facility. Ensures all staff participate in mandatory safety meetings. Responsible for verifying accuracy of employee time keeping requirements, approving and submitting weekly payroll. Investigates and completes proper documentation for work related injuries, accidents/incidents in a timely manner. Actively involved with any staff recruitment and disciplining issues. Properly guide and mentor employees.Required Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge/industry experience of organic or composting operations. Must understand all local and state permit compliance and environmental. Must have strong communication skills, decision making skills, negotiation skills, customer service skills and effectively interface with general public and government regulatory agencies. Must be able to operate heavy equipment and be willing to obtain Commercial license.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. Bilingual English / Spanish. Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills. Knowledgeable in DOT and OSHA regulations.Physical/Environmental Demands:
Physical:
Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously. Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability, concentration, exposure to heavy machinery, & eye/hand coordination, & handling continuously. Bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, & lifting = 50 Lbs. continuously. Exposure to unprotected heights occasionally.Environmental:

- Performs Senior-level repairs and assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Performs the most critical, and complex work in troubleshooting, inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform safety inspections and checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs roadside emergency diagnosis and repair of roadside equipment as directed by supervision.
- Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles and equipment; to include documentation of parts usage, and repair times.
- Attendance and successful accomplishment of all safety and compliance training.
- To ensure that the building/premise assigned to him/her is safe and secured from any sort of contingencies and acts of violence.
- To keenly observe each and every person entering the premise and to keep an eye on intruders.
- To prevent the entry of unauthorized people and prohibited articles into restricted areas.
- To maintain a log book with details of the names, purpose of visit, and entry and exit times of each and every individual who enters the premise.
- To conduct routine checks inside / outside the building each day.
- To report all the suspicious acts happening in the premises to the local police / management staff.
- To check each and every office and make sure that all the possible entrances and exits are closed, and all the lights / electric equipment are switched off.
- To answer the emergency alarms with immediate effect, and to inform the respective department (such as fire department in case of fire) right away.

- Generate external repair purchase orders in Fleetio to support maintenance operations.
- Execute month end close processes by ensuring all mechanic work orders are entered and all open purchase orders are reconciled and closed.
- Audit parts charge outs against corresponding work orders to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation.
- Receive and verify parts deliveries to maintain accurate inventory and workflow continuity.
- Reconcile Workday labor hours with work orders and develop labor efficiency reports for the Fleet Manager.
- Produce daily and weekly reports on mechanic hours and overtime for both the Fleet Manager and General Manager.
- Maintain complete and compliant truck files, including DMV registrations, preventive maintenance schedules, and work order documentation.
- Support the Fleet Manager with research and documentation for approval requests, including large dollar repairs for fleet and facility needs.
- Communicate with upper management to provide updates, supporting data, and clarification on approval requests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
- Provide administrative support to Operations as needed to ensure cross-functional efficiency.
