Job Description

Job Summary Insight Global is looking for a National Team lead for interfacing with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) J36 staff and other organizations in the National Capital Region. Collaborates with the National Military Command Center, Mission Operations Centers, other commands, and international partners to define roles, missions, operational concepts, and system requirements. Supports sites in integrating systems into operations centers and developing crew training requirements. Interfaces with National Team functional areas to define, status, and implement engineering solutions. Facilitates the sharing of operational planning materials, gathers status updates from command center personnel, identifies and resolves operational issues, and develops innovative solutions to complex technical problems. Prepares operational plans, schedules, cost estimates, internal communications, and briefing materials. Represents the National Team within the user community and applies experience with Command and Control systems in operational environments, including Air Operations Centers.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field + 8 years of experience; or Master's degree (preferred) + 6 years of relevant experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance (with eligibility to be read on to SCI)
  • Experience in a joint or service command headquarters staff
  • Understanding of the operational environment and how Command and Control systems are used in an Operations Center
  • Experience working with Command and Control systems in the operational arena and/or at an Air Operations Center
  • Experience briefing at the general officer / flag officer level
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starting problem solver able to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Current, active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility already in place
  • Previous experience with Missile Defense systems
  • Knowledge of the Joint Staff environment, processes, and personnel
  • Experience with Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITWAA) systems
  • Experience developing operational plans, schedules, costs, internal communications, and briefing materials
  • Experience identifying and resolving operational issues and developing solutions to complex technical problems Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
