Job Description

Where You Will Work Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling. Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest, making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. - Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit.
- Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
- May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
- Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
- Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
- Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities
- Maintain an inventory of parts and materials.
- Approve purchases of materials and equipment; maintains time, materials and equipment use reports.
- Request tools, supplies, materials, and equipment
- Train staff in safety procedures
- Maintain safety data sheets for crews.
- Perform other duties as required. ## What You Bring To Freeport
- High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment.
- Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
- Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
- Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects.
- Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing ## Preferred Qualifications
- Must have an Active Valid Driver's License What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $90,000 - $124,500.

- Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
- Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
- Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
