Job Description

Operations Director The ReCONNstruction Center Position Summary The Operations Director is responsible for the daily operations and growth of The ReCONNstruction Center. This hands-on leadership position oversees retail operations, donor pickups, hybrid retail and online sales, volunteer coordination, and community outreach while implementing the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors.
Schedule Regular operating schedule:
Wednesday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM Attend one monthly Board of Directors meeting (approximately 2 hours) Coordinate and participate in donor pickups and materials acquisition runs as needed Occasional evening or off-site community events or meetings Primary Responsibilities Manage all daily retail operations and provide excellent customer service. Lead ReCONN's hybrid sales model , ensuring inventory is appropriately marketed and sold through both the retail store and online platforms including Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay, Craigslist, and other approved sales channels. Coordinate, evaluate, and participate in donor pickups and materials acquisition to maintain a steady supply of quality reusable building materials. Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers. Build collaborative relationships with contractors, municipalities, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community partners to increase donations, customers, volunteers, and mission impact. Represent ReCONN at outreach events, networking opportunities, and community partnerships. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming retail and warehouse environment. Provide regular operational updates and recommendations to the Board of Directors. Qualifications Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working in both retail and warehouse environments. Valid driver's license and ability to participate in donation pickups. Commitment to ReCONN's mission of reuse, sustainability, and community engagement.

From $38,000.00 per year
