Summary:
This role ensures the efficient production of machined components while maintaining compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. The Director of Operations drives operational excellence through strategic planning, team leadership, process optimization, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Essential Functions:
Full control of Profit and Loss of the business unitResponsible for preparation and presentation of budget plans with the assistance of Sales and Finance departmentsResponsible for capacity planning, capital investments, and staffing to support business plansReviews monthly product overall costs and make adjustments as required to meet budgeted standardsReviews parts non-quality activity weekly, identify negative trends, opportunities for improvement and corrective action through the involvement of Engineering and Manufacturing supervisorsDefines yearly goals for the business unit and reviews progress every quarterAnalyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.

Through weekly and monthly reports monitor productivity and efficiencies by the department and correct with the production and engineering team as necessaryMaintain customer schedules and communication of work progressRepresents the company as needed during customer visits and presentationsPerform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related dataBachelors in Business, Engineering, or other related field requiredHigh School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors5+ years of experienceDesired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to drive and sustain changes for improved efficiencies, growth and cultureAbility to mentor and coach direct reportsAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Ability to travel 5-10% when required.
