Job Description

Last Mile Home Delivery company seeks an experienced Operations Manager, with expertise in Final Mile and with a strong skill set in operations, supervision, dispatching, and working knowledge of customer service. This position is designed to manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures, lead and oversee both employees and contractors. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but not limited to the following: Manage Final Mile Dock Load outs. Supervise multiple deliveries and teams daily for seamless delivery process as established by company. Support our customer's expectations for all delivery services. Ensure safe and efficient operations. Carry our supervisory duties in accordance with the company's policies. Manage logistics. Quick decision making skills and strong attention to detail. Meet cost, targets in a timeliness manner. Monitor operations such as early am load outs, and routes. Recruit Independent IC's Assist the Customer Service Team in investigations and resolutions to customer or shipper issues. Serve as contact person for all workers within assigned territories. Implement schedule and policy changes. Collaborate with other managers and staff members to achieve goals, and objectives. Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members. Six Days a week. Must be flexible to work week-ends Skills +
Qualifications:
Must have 5 years plus, preferably with Final Mile Home Delivery Background. Demonstrated problem-solving, excellent verbal, written, communication skills and excellent listening skills. Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects while effectively communicating in a professional manner with all levels. Must possess both a strong personality and a desire to help. Must have extensive experience of dispatch with a good demographic knowledge of the tri-state area Must have excellent Customer Service skills Must be computer proficient and comfortable with Word, Excel, Outlook and willing to learn our software.
